TOGETHER WITH TODDLER
A wonderful introduction to the school, this twice a week class of 1 1/2 hours provides an opportunity for you and your two year old to enjoy activities and crafts led by an experienced and caring teacher. Learning about textures, sounds, and a variety of seasonal themes takes place through hands on exploration and experimentation.
The age requirement for this program is: Two years of age by December 31st
PROGRAMS FOR THREE & FOUR YEAR OLDS
Good Shepherd Lutheran School provides developmentally appropriate programs for three and four year olds designed to:
* Introduce children to Jesus Christ
* Stimulate interaction between children and their peers
* Establish the young child “away from home”
* Build relationships between children and adults
* Prepare the child for the following year's program
The requirements for the nursery programs are: Three years of age by December 31st and toilet trained; for the kindergarten programs it is: Four years of age by December 31st
HALF DAY NURSERY & PRE-KINDERGARTEN
Sessions available from: 9:00-11:30 a.m. or 12:30-3:00 p.m.
Nursery: Two day (Tues. Thurs.) or three day (Mon. Wed. Fri.)
Pre-Kindergarten: Three day (Mon. Wed. Fri. ) or five days (Mon. – Fri.)
FULL DAY NURSERY & PRE-KINDERGARTEN
This six hour five full day program for nursery and pre-kindergarten age children, is specially designed to meet the needs of the working parent. Class begins at 9:00 a.m. and ends at 3:00 p.m.
FULL DAY KINDERGARTEN
A full academic curriculum meeting New York State requirements is offered to all Kindergarten children. Particular attention is given to the vitally important skills of reading, writing, mathematics and the arts and sciences. The curriculum is designed so that children will learn through guided independent discovery as well as teacher directed lessons.
Class begins at 9:00 a.m. and ends at 3:00 p.m.
Kindergarten children should meet the age requirement of your local school district.
